On Friday, the administration at Montana State University Billings finalized changes to the requirements for acceptance and enrollment at the institution.
In a press conference, MSUB Chancellor Dan Edelman remarked “We want to be intentional about removing barriers that might prevent anyone from trying to make MSUB their alma mater. Because of this effort, we have opted to only require an ACT score of 10, an SAT score of 600, and a high school GPA of 1.5. We’re really excited that student performance will no longer get in the way of them taking out thousands of dollars of student loans to give to us.”
When asked about whether or not this change would affect foreign student exchange programs at the school, Edelman emphasized that “We at MSUB stand firm in our dedication to accept a student’s money regardless of where they’re from. As long as we’re getting subsidized, we’ll take as many applicants as we can get, no matter their origin. Please apply.”
