On Friday, Well Pared announced plans for a dating app that matches couples exclusively on their order at Well Pared. “We realized we could be pairing more than just flavors.” said owner Nicole Griffith.
The app will ask users to enter their usual orders, allergies, food preferences, and whether they actually need to be gluten-free or just prefer it. According to the app’s tutorial, these questions are designed to pair couples based off what foods they can order and share together.
Local couple John Mulford and Mariel Rieland met in a testing group for the app. “I’m amazed at how accurate the results were,” said Rieland. “We both eat well and neither of us have conflicting food pairings. I’ve honestly never felt more well paired!” Mulford also praised the design: “We got a 96% Well Pared, which basically means we’re meant to eat together forever. I can’t thank them enough.”
Griffith’s brother Brian Speasl, who is the Head Chef/App Designer at Well Pared, outlined how the idea came to fruition. “We’ve always wanted to help people in their health journey. It was only a matter of time before we learned how to assist people’s romantic health as well. We are currently the only allergen and vegan friendly dating app on the market. It’s always been our job to make your food; now it’s our job to make sure you don’t get paired with someone you can’t eat with.”
Currently, the Well Pared app is still in beta testing among local soccer moms and CrossFit dads.
