Last Saturday, MSUB published the findings from a multi-year, localized, cross-sectional study, focusing on the drinking habits of men in a single brewery. Researchers hypothesized that drinking locally brewed beer would lead to participants reporting bouts of rage and breaking out into street fights.
Researchers found, however, that the beer from Angry Hank’s seemed to have the opposite effect on participants. In self-report surveys, the participants said they were glad to be drinking locally crafted beer and supporting local business at the same time, and never once reported feelings of anger, nor the need to brawl.
In a presentation of their findings, the researchers warned that these findings should only be considered a correlation, and that decades of research need to continue to support any conclusive findings.
